<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which a paper feed tray appropriate for processing a print job is automatically selected without providing a dedicated paper feed tray for a special print medium. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device includes a paper feed unit formed of a plurality of paper feed trays where a different kind of print medium is contained for each paper feed tray, a communication unit that receives a print job formed of a plurality of items of data each of which uses at least two different kinds of print media, a print job analysis unit that analyzes setting information of the received print job, and a paper feed tray selection unit that, when a result of an analysis by the print job analysis unit is that the use of a specific paper feed tray is designated for one portion of data among the data in the print job, selects the designated paper feed tray from among the plurality of paper feed trays as the specific paper feed tray for the print job only, and automatically selects a paper feed tray to be used for other data from paper feed trays excluding the specific paper feed tray. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
