COOLING APPARARUS AND COOLING METHOD OF HOT-ROLLED STEEL SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly cool a hot-rolled steel sheet which is hot-rolled by a finishing mill and is formed into a corrugated shape having corrugation height periodically varied in the rolling direction.

SOLUTION: A cooling apparatus 14 includes a thermometer 40 for measuring the temperature of a hot-rolled steel sheet H at the predetermined fixed point, a shape meter 41 for measuring the shape at the same fixed point as that of the thermometer 40, a control directionality determining means 50 for determining the increasing/decreasing direction of the cooling heat-removal amount on the upper and lower sides of the hot-rolled steel sheet H based on the time series between the temperature measured by the thermometer 40 and the fluctuation rate of the hot-rolled steel sheet H measured by the shape meter 41, and a control means 51 for adjusting the cooling heat-removal amount from the upper and lower sides in the predetermined cooling zone when cooling the hot-rolled steel sheet H.
