Provided is a self-resonating sound emitting speaker which has good water-proof properties and is easy to install. The self-resonating sound emitting speaker (1) includes an actuator-type speaker unit (2) and polymeric foam (3) covering the entire outer surface of the speaker unit (2), said self-resonating sound emitting speaker (1) emitting vibration from the speaker unit (2) outside as a planar wave. Preferably, the polymeric foam (3) has an expansion ratio 10-30 and a closed-cell structure. Further, the thickness range of the polymeric foam (3) is preferably no less than 2 mm and more preferably no less than 3 mm.
