<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel golf bag support mechanism and an associated method. <P>SOLUTION: A connector plate includes a connector plate body, a first bridge portion, and a second bridge portion. The connector plate body defines a first surface and a second surface. The first bridge portion extends from the first surface, and defines a first channel. The second bridge portion extends from the second surface, and defines a second channel.
