<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device capable of suppressing degradation in the display quality. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes: a first substrate with a pixel electrode extending linearly; a second substrate including an insulating substrate, a shield electrode arranged in the inner surface of the insulating substrate opposite to the first substrate, common electrodes extending in substantially parallel with the pixel electrode on both sides across the pixel electrode, and a dielectric layer arranged between the shield electrode and the common electrode; and a liquid crystal layer held between the first substrate and the second substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
