<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance brightness of a displayed image while suppressing observer's perception of a mixture of a right-eye image and a left-eye image. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of pixels PIX is disposed corresponding to each intersection between a plurality of scan lines 32 and a plurality of signal lines 34 and includes a liquid crystal element CL for displaying gradation according to gradation potential X[n] of the plurality of signal lines 34 when the plurality of scan lines 32 is selected. During a unit period U1 of each displaying period P, a driving circuit 40 supplies the gradation potential X[n] according to specified gradation of each of the plurality of pixels PIX of odd numbered rows to each of the plurality of signal lines 34 while sequentially selecting every two lines of the plurality of scan lines 32. During a unit period U2 after the unit period U1 has elapsed, the driving circuit 40 supplies the gradation potential X[n] according to specified gradation of each of the plurality of pixels PIX of even numbered rows to each of the plurality of signal lines 34 while sequentially selecting the plurality of scan lines 32 of the even numbered rows. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
