<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent or reduce damage to a printing material container and a printing apparatus caused by short-circuiting between terminals. <P>SOLUTION: A printing material container comprises a first device, a second device, and a terminal group. The terminal group includes a first terminal, a second terminal and a third terminal. The first terminal is connected to the first device and includes a first contact portion for contacting a corresponding terminal among apparatus-side terminals. The second terminal is connected to the second device and includes a second contact portion for contacting a corresponding terminal among the apparatus-side terminals. The third terminal is for the detection of short-circuiting between the second terminal and the third terminal, and includes third contact portion for contacting a corresponding terminal among the apparatus-side terminals. The second contact portion, the first contact portion, and the third contact portion are arranged so as to form one or multiple rows.
