摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel structure of a wheel for a chain transmission device in which any chain guard is not required while advantages of a notch chain are not impaired. <P>SOLUTION: A chain has a bottom opening structure between a pair of plate-like parts of a link, and the chain can be driven by being engaged with a sprocket tooth from a bottom opening part of the link. The chain has a notch in a link bottom so as to be engaged with drive pins 62. In the wheel, the drive pins 62 are arranged at an equal spacing in the circumferential direction at the same pitch as the chain pitch between a pair of drive pin supporting plates 57, 58. A sprocket disk 60 is arranged between the drive pin supporting plates 57, 58. A tooth part 60A having the same pitch as the chain pitch is provided on the outer circumferential side from the drive pins 62.
