<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic radial tire which reduces material cost, while reducing weight of the tire. <P>SOLUTION: In the pneumatic radial tire for a passenger car of a high turn up (HTU) structure of carcass in which a load index and the speed range are 115 S or more, or 8 PR or more, a high hard rubber layer which has higher hardness than the sidewall rubber layer, and which satisfies the following condition, is inserted between a folded carcass and a sidewall rubber layer. A distance from a bead heel to an end part of an inner side of the high hard rubber layer in a tire radial direction: 15-20 mm, a width of the high hard rubber layer in a radial direction: 50-90 mm, a thickness of the high hard rubber layer: 2.0-3.0 mm, and hardness of the high hard rubber layer: JIS-A hardness 77-95. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
