The device has dissolved volatile components (5) extracted without interposition of a gas permeation membrane via an open interface between a sample medium and carrier gas (11) e.g. argon gas, by a carrier gas stream. The dissolved volatile components are provided with particular gas component analyzer. A carrier gas inlet tube (6) ends in a lower part of a gas extraction vessel at small distance above measuring liquid by a gas extraction vessel (1). The carrier gas is inserted with respect to a measuring medium and extracted gas components. The volatile components are selected from hydrogen, carbon dioxide, oxygen, ammonia, methane, alcohols, volatile fatty acids or low molecular weight organic compounds. An independent claim is also included for a method for extraction of dissolved components from liquids.
