METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR RELAY NODE TO MANAGE USER EQUIPMENT UPON INTERRUPTION OF RETURN LINK

Disclosed are a method and system for a relay node (RN) to manage a user equipment (UE) upon interruption of a return link. The method comprises: when a return link needs to be interrupted, an RN scheduling a UE served thereby to be handed over to other suitable cells, or instructing a UE to release a radio resource control (RRC) connection (301); and a donor evolved NodeB (DeNB), upon learning that the UE served by the RN has left a cell of the RN, interrupting the return link with the RN (302). According to the technical solution of the present invention, before interrupting a return link, an RN instructs a UE to perform handover or release an RRC connection, so that the UE can be rapidly handed over to a suitable cell, thereby reducing the transmission of redundant signaling, guaranteeing desirable mobility, and enhancing the use experience of a user.
