<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical pickup provided with a metal cover that does not damage mounting stability while facilitating the mounting of the metal cover on a base member of an optical pickup device by reducing the number of components. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical pickup device provided with a semiconductor laser, a base member on which an optical member is mounted and to which the semiconductor laser is attached, and a cover member for fixing the semiconductor laser to the base member, the cover member includes a projection piece part formed by being projected from a circumferential part of the cover member, and the base member includes an insertion structure for holding the projection piece part by having the projection piece part inserted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
