<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decomposition treatment of a drainage that contains underwater bacteria, organic matter, antifouling, etc. by a photocatalytic reaction through continuous oxidation and reduction reaction. <P>SOLUTION: The photocatalytic reaction apparatus includes a plurality of glass substrates coated with a photocatalyst as a thin film and arranged as reaction plates in a cylindrical treatment container. A treatment liquid is continuously supplied by external liquid feed pressure from a liquid inlet provided in the lower face of the cylindrical treatment container, and an upper ring of the reaction plate is irradiated with light from an optical fiber lead-in port provided in the upper side face of the cylindrical treatment container, through an optical fiber from a light source, and the inside of the reaction plates is irradiated with light to perform oxidation and reduction reaction of substance to be treated on the thin film. The substance to be treated is thereby decomposed into water and carbon dioxide and discharged from a liquid outlet provided in the upper side face of the cylindrical treatment container. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
