<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device and an image forming apparatus capable of reducing energy consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing device 100 comprises: a heating roll 104 which releases radiation heat H; a pressure belt 106; and an enclosure 102 which rotatably houses the heating roll 104 and the pressure belt 106. It is provided with, inside the enclosure 102, a sheet member 144 which has a higher reflectance ratio than the enclosure 102 and reflects the radiation heat H towards the heating roll 104. The radiation heat H released from the heating roll 104 is reflected by the sheet member 144 inside a housing 102A and is transferred to the heating roll 104. This improves the energy utilization efficiency by the heating roll 104 and reduces the energy consumption by the fixing device 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
