<p>A load control method and apparatus relate to the field of mobile communications and solve problems that the existing load control manner has poor flexibility and affects the system transmission efficiency. The method comprises: a radio network controller (RNC) making statistics on an uplink load of a neighboring cell with a frequency the same as that of a cell supporting an uplink enhanced cell forward access channel (CELL_FACH); and setting, according to the uplink load of the neighboring cell, a maximum transmission block size of a common enhanced dedicated channel (E-DCH) user in the cell supporting the uplink enhanced CELL_FACH. The foregoing solution implements flexible and efficient configuration of the maximum transmission block size of the common E-DCH user.</p> |
