PURPOSE: An automated teller machine is provided to easily control transfer by making a simple transfer control program. CONSTITUTION: A medium input and output unit(11) draws in or draws out a medium. A detection unit(20) senses the state of the medium to be drawn in or out. A medium storage(40) stores the medium drawn in or the media drawn out through the medium input and output unit. A collection storage(60) stores the medium which is determined to be defective from the detection unit or the medium which is not transferred to a client. A first carrying path(81) is located at an upper portion of the detection unit. A second carrying path(82) passes through the detection unit. A third carrying path(83) is located at a lower portion of the detection unit. |
