<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electrical machine that has a mechanism for cooling connecting conductors built radially in a shaft of a rotor while keeping the sectional area or number of the connecting conductors unchanged. <P>SOLUTION: A rotating electrical machine 1 of an embodiment is a gas-cooled rotating electrical machine 1, and a rotor 2 of the rotating electrical machine 1 includes a shaft 20, a first conductor 211 and a second conductor 221, a first stud 212, a second stud 222, an inlet 81 and an outlet 82. The inlet 81 communicates with a first vent 212A opening through the first stud 212. The outlet 82 communicates with a second vent 222A opening through the second stud 222. The outlet 82 opens in a position in line symmetry with the inlet 81 with respect to a rotation center L of the shaft 20. A force eccentrically acting on a cooling gas G in a position near an outer circumference 20a of the shaft 20 is larger at the outlet 82 than at the inlet 81. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
