<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection system of an engine which promotes the vaporization of injected fuel and in which the attachment of the injected fuel to a port wall face is suppressed. <P>SOLUTION: An engine 10 includes: an intake port 11A having a curved part 11W connected to a combustion chamber B and formed in a curved fashion and gradually along the cylinder axial direction as coming close to the combustion chamber B; an intake valve 14A opening and closing an inlet port 11a that makes the intake port 11A communicate with the combustion chamber B; and an injector 18A provided on the upstream wall face of an outer periphery of the curved part 11W of the intake port 11A, and the engine injects the fuel using the injector 18A in such a manner that the injected fuel reaches the inlet port during the opened period of the intake valve 14A.
