摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact type total tension measuring apparatus which is capable of accurately measuring a total tension, in simple configuration, even for a low-density band-shaped body or a thin band-shaped body. <P>SOLUTION: A non-contact type displacement gage 3 is disposed which measures, between supporting portions, the oscillation displacement of a band-shaped body 1 supported by supporting rolls 2a, 2b in two portions in a traveling direction. The total tension of the band-shaped body 1 is arithmetically operated and measured by an arithmetic unit 4 from an eigen-frequency of the band-shaped body 1 determined from the oscillation displacement measured by the displacement gage 3, a mass of the band-shaped body 1 between the supporting portions and an additional mass of air in contact with the band-shaped body 1 between the supporting portions. Thus, even for a low-density band-shaped body or a thin band-shaped body, the total tension can be measured accurately while taking into account the additional mass of surrounding air that affects the oscillation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
