PURPOSE: A device selecting a fast cell in a mobile wireless device and a method thereof are provided to supply selection/reselection technique of an improved cell. CONSTITUTION: Logic in a mobile wireless communication device(106) performs data communication with a wireless interface and a processor. The logic searches one or more cells capable of connecting the mobile wireless communication device. The logic determines whether or not a candidate cell of one or more cells is a first cell. When the candidate cell is determined as the first cell, the logic evaluates whether or not the candidate cell satisfies one or more connection parameters.
