PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sealant used for joints of panels used for outside walls and the like of a building from changing in quality by ultraviolet rays, wind, and rainwater, and prevent panels from being contaminated as a separate material leaks to the outside even if a part of a component separates by a secular change. SOLUTION: A sealant 11 is filled in a joint 9 for connecting panels 7a, 7b to each other through a backup material 10, and a sealing protection member 11 which is formed inside edge parts 3a, 3b, outside edge part 4a, 4b, and a fixing part 5 in a main body 2 is inserted in the joint 9 before the sealant 11 is hardened. The protection member 11 is fixed through the fixing part 5 by hardening of the sealant 11, and the sealant 11 is doubly protected by the inside edge parts 3a, 3b, and the outside edge parts 4a, 4b. Therefore, the sealant applied to the joint between panels functions effectively for a long period and the fine sight of a building is maintained.
