The slicer has a rotating blade, a product support (14), and a product feed (16,18). Product support and feed are positioned relative to the cutting plane (S), so that the longitudinal axis (L) of the product support encloses an acute angle ( alpha ) with the cutting plane. The acute angle is adjustable, pref. to generate individual stop positions. The cutting plane encloses an acute angle with the horizontal, pref. approx. 40 deg . Cut product slices (26,28) are collected on a vertically and/or horizontally adjustable collector (30) for stacking or layering.
