PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of calcite and high purity ammonium sulfate using gypsum is provided to fix carbon dioxide as safe minerals. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of calcite and high purity ammonium sulfate using gypsum comprise the following step: performing carbonization process by adding certain amount of carbon dioxide to a mixed slurry which includes water, ammonia solution and gypsum. The slurry includes 180-350 parts by weight of water based on 100 parts by weight of gypsum. The carbon dioxide is supplied at the flow rate of 8-20cc/min per 1g of gypsum. The initially reaction temperature of the slurry is 5-18 deg. Celsius.
