PURPOSE: A silicon resin composition and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enhance heat resistance, hardness, coating performance and crack resistance. CONSTITUTION: A silicon resin composition comprises one or more thermosetting property functional group selected from hydroxy group, alkoxy group and epoxy, one or more alkali-developable functional group selected from hydroxy and alkoxy groups, one or more functional groups selected from C1-20 alkyl group and aromatic group, and 60-95 mole% of trifunctional structure derived from organotrialkoxysilane. The weight-average molecular weight is 5,000-20,000.
