PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a digital signal level controller to easily display a level control operation without the need for increasing a coefficient memory of a DSP or the like or for computing processing by a CPU or the like. SOLUTION: The digital signal level controller is provided with an absolute value converter 3 that converts a received digital signal into an absolute value, a level-gain converter 4, an envelope generator 5 consisting of a 1st envelope coefficient 10, a 2nd envelope coefficient 11, a delay element 12, multipliers 13, 14, and an adder 15, a comparator 8 that compares the output value of the envelope generator 5 with the envelope coefficient 10, a compressor operation display device 9 that conducts the on/off display of the operation of compressor on the basis of the result of comparison and a multiplier 6 that multiplies the output of the envelope generator 5 with the received digital signal.
