The method involves depositing a database (28) having a dataset (30) in a databank (26) for multiple automation projects, where the databank is accessible to a server (32) or included from the server. A user is logged on to generate an instruction list in the databank through the server, and each automation project and the associated database are directly or indirectly selected. The list is automatically generated by the server in relation to the database based on the dataset of the database for the user. The list is integrated in a development environment with an automation system (10).
