PURPOSE: A positive active material with excellent stability and a lithium secondary battery using the same are provided to obtain stability and lifetime at high temperature. CONSTITUTION: A positive active material is composed of one or more compounds selected from chemical formula 1. The chemical formula 1 is as follows: (1-s-t)(Li(Li_aMn_(1-a-x-)Ni_xCo_y)O_2)*s(Li_2CO_3)*t(LiOH). The average oxidation number of the whole transition metal except for lithium is greater than +3. In the chemical formula 1, , 0<a<0.2, x>(1-a-y)/2, 0<y<0.5, a+x+y<1, 0<s<0.03, 0<t<0.03. The positive electrode mixture includes cathode active material. |
