PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency call system which can prevent a crime in a room, etc., and also can obtain the evidences of a crime committed in a secret room. SOLUTION: A monitor camera 2 and a sound collector 3 are installed in a room and usually turned off. These camera 2 and collector 3 are turned on by a remote control means such as a remote control switch 4. Then the images and sounds are transmitted to a security company 9 via a transmission means 6 such as a TEL line. An alarm means 8 produces an alarm and a monitor means 7 monitors the room. Furthermore, the operating times of the camera 2 and collector 3 are limited in a fixed period and the company 9 can prolong the monitoring time as long as both camera 2 and collector 3 are turned on.
