PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solar plastic dial for a watch not causing a warp, having transferring capability of a clear uneven pattern and having good workability. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method using a molding device wherein an upper die having a desired uneven design pattern and having a built-in heater is arranged oppositely to a lower die having a satin design pattern and having a built-in heater, a plastic board is fed between the upper and lower dies heated to a predetermined temperature and thereafter pressed for a predetermined period under a predetermined pressure. A desired uneven design 2a and a satin design 2b are formed on the upper surface side and the lower surface side of the plastic dial board 2, respectively. The depths of the uneven designs formed on the upper and lower surfaces are set almost the same. A transparent protective film 3 is formed on the upper surface of the uneven design 2a, its upper surface is finished to a glossy flat surface and indexes 4 showing time letters are installed at predetermined positions of the protective film 4. The clear uneven design not causing the warp and having high transferring capability can be provided. The cooling period of the dies is reduced. The deep purple tone of the solar cell is relaxed by the satin design.
