PURPOSE: A method and apparatus for surface treatment of a long-length metal ribbon substrate is provided to improve the quality of a metal ribbon product by maintaining a constant illuminance of the metal ribbon. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for surface treatment of a long-length metal ribbon substrate comprises a drawing reel(1), a sandblast apparatus(5), a sand fraction apparatus(5e,5f), a cleaning apparatus(6), a drying apparatus(7), and a winding reel(2). The drawing reel draws a metal ribbon into the surface treatment apparatus. The sandblast apparatus forms uniform illumination on the metal ribbon. The sand fraction apparatus distinguishes reusable particle by being installed in the lower part of the sand blast apparatus. The cleaning apparatus cleans the metal ribbon. The drying apparatus dries the metal ribbon. The winding reel winds the metal ribbon.
