PURPOSE: A patch for local anaesthesia is provided, therefore the dosage amount of a drug can be easily regulated and the transdermal absorption of a drug can be significantly improved, so that rapid anaesthesia can be accomplished. CONSTITUTION: The patch for local anaesthesia consisting of a supporting film, a matrix layer containing drugs and a releasing film comprises 5 to 40 wt.% of hydrogel forming macromolecule; 1 to 20 wt.% of local anesthetic, 30 to 70 wt.% of solvent and dissolution assisting agent; and 1 to 20 wt.% of transdermal transfer improver, in which the hydrogel forming macromolecule is a mixture of 0.5 to 10 wt.% of polyvinylalcohol, 0.5 to 15 wt.% of poly(met)acrylic acid or multivalent metal salt thereof; and 0.5 to 10 wt.% of anhydrous maleic acid/vinylether copolymer; the local anesthetic is selected from lidocaine. prilocaine, tetracaine, dibucaine, benzocaine, cocaine, pranoxine, dicromine and propacocaine; and the solvent and dissolution assisting agent is water, ethanol, multivalent alcohol and triacetin.
