PURPOSE: A device for generating the Korean alphabet code of a mobile communication terminal is provided to increase the input velocity of the Korean alphabet by dividing consonants and vowels of the Korean alphabet and allocating the consonants and vowels in each key and making not allocated double consonants and other vowels be inputted by operating a numeral key and a function key successively. CONSTITUTION: A keypad(100) includes a plurality of numeral keys and function keys, and inputs a consonant and a vowel of the Korean alphabet selectively through a general group for allocating a consonant and a vowel of the Korean alphabet in the numeral key and the function key and a combination group for inputting other consonant and vowel by combination of the numeral key and the function key. A key input device(200) generates an input signal of the general group by responding to a key selection through the keypad(100) in case that the numeral key or the function key is only inputted, and generates an input signal of the combination group in case that the numeral key and the function key are inputted successively. A control unit(300) compares the input signal generated from the key input device(200) with a pre-set consonant/vowel code and outputs the consonant/vowel code corresponded to the input signal. A Korean alphabet code generating device(350) combines with codes outputted from the control unit(300) and creates Korean alphabet code of an initial sound, a vowel, and a final consonant. An error processing unit(340) judges whether an error is generated or not by checking the number of consonants between vowels outputted in the control unit(300), and corrects an error.
