PURPOSE: A functional food composition for relieving female menopausal symptoms is provided to relieve or prevent various symptoms due to the estrogen deficiency shown in menopause by increasing 17 beta-estradiol and a female hormone. CONSTITUTION: The food composition contains 40 to 45 wt% of red ginseng, 20 to 22 wt% of deer antlers, 20 to 22 wt% of Angelica gigas, 9 to 12 wt% of Cornus officinalis, 3 to 6 wt% of Atractylodes japonica, 0.04 to 0.05 wt% of honey, 0.01 to 0.02 wt % of unpolished glutinous rice, and 0.03 to 0.05 wt% of propolis. The red ginseng, Angelica gigas, Cornus officinalis, and Atractylodes japonica are dried powder. The unpolished glutinous rice is the unpolished glutinous rice gruel. The food composition is manufactured in one form selected from the group of tablets, granules, powders, capsules, fluid solutions, and pills.
