PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording device which can divide a track into groups efficiently and give information commensurate with the groups and decrease the users operating load. SOLUTION: Group information (e.g. group name information) is registered corresponding to the change detected by a detection means. After the beginning of the recording of track information, some changes about the track record are detected by the detection means give group classifying instructions to an information imparting means. From the track begun to be recorded in the information recording medium to the track recorded at the time of receiving group classifying instructions are regarded as the same group and group information responsive to detected changes is given to the track belonging to concerned groups. Therefore with information in response to the detected changes can be given automatically, users are not every time required to input information such as a group name can decrease the user's operating loads.
