PURPOSE: A device for generating signals for alternating liquid crystal is provided to uniformly distribute the polarity inversion time point of alternate current signals through all scanning electrodes, thereby preventing the uneven display. CONSTITUTION: A device for generating signals for alternating liquid crystal includes first counter(21) for counting the number of pulse of a data latch signal, a first comparator(22) for resetting the first counter for demultiplexing the data latch signal pulse by the number assigned by a setting element and outputting the demultiplexed signal, a second counter(23) for counting the number of scanning electrode signals per frame supplied from a frame signal supply element, a latch(25) for generating a predetermined signal for delaying an output of the first counter to shift a first alternate current signal by a cycle, and a second comparator(24) for resetting the second counter to initiate its operation from the beginning after the number of frames assigned by the setting element.
