SUBSTANCE: cat's eye incorporates two optical elements made of clear material in the form of rectangles of equal area anchored in parallel in common mount with side walls, light source comprising several tubular lamps whose axes are parallel to side walls and a least one reflection surface of catadioptric character, for instance, calendered surface, anchored on optical element. Zone of side walls-reflection surface have flat flanges which make angles alpha ==40-56 deg with plane of optical element, protrusions of triangular shape are fabricated on sections between lamps. They have height h lying in range 0-7-1.0 from distance l between reflection surface to axes of lamps, angle beta ==22-36 deg is angle included between side surfaces of protrusions and optical element. Ratio of height of mount H to height of protrusions h amounts to H/h=5.6-7.5. EFFECT: increased reliability and reduced manufacturing cost. 1 dwg
