The element has a cylindrical ornamental ring (1) and an annular actuating part (4) formed as multi-component injection-molded parts and connected with each other. The ring and the part have surfaces, which are adjacent to each other and lie one after another in a plane. A surface coating (10) of the ring extends until a boundary of the ring, where the boundary is adjacent to the actuating part. A slot (8) with a breadth less than 1 millimeter is formed between the surfaces. The surface coating is provided as a galvanized chromium coating.
