PURPOSE: An automatic spot welding device and a welding method thereof are provided to automatically separate a mounting jig after finishing spot welding, thereby making an operator easily extract base plates, operate with a simple operation, and reduce operating time. CONSTITUTION: An automatic spot welding device is equipped with a fastening unit(F) for fastening another component to a receiving hole(H) which is formed on a work piece(S). The automatic spot welding device comprises a rotary plate(200), a mounting jig(300), a fastening detecting means(400), a welding means(100), and a separating means(500). The rotary plate(200) is rotated by an actuating part(204) in order to transfer the work piece(S). The mounting jig(300) is installed on the rotary plate(200) in order to fix the work piece(S). The fastening detecting means(400) is equipped in one side of the rotary plate(200), and detects the fastening unit(F). The welding means(100) welds the work piece(S), which is settled on the mounting jig(300), on the fastening unit(F). The separating means(500) is equipped in one side of the rotary plate(200). The separating means(500) separates the work piece, on which the welding has been finished, and the fastening unit(F) from the rotary plate(200).
