PURPOSE: A base assembly and a hard disk drive including the same are provided to prevent the degradation of a voice coil motor by removing the influence of a magnetism in the process of combining the magnet of the voice coil motor with a base. CONSTITUTION: A motor base assembly(100) includes a motor base(110), a magnet(310) and a fastening portion(120). The magnet is arranged in the motor base. The magnet provides a driving force to a magnetic head. The fastening portion applies pressure to the magnet to be fixed in the motor base. The fastening portion is connected to the motor base.
