PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cup holder for vehicle capable of maintaining the spread condition certainly. SOLUTION: The cup holder for vehicle is equipped with a hollow case 2 fixed inside the vehicle and a holder body 3 accommodated in the case slidably, wherein the holder body 3 is configured with a left 3A and a right holder half 3B accommodated in the case 2 in such a condition as folded in two facing down and spread upward to form a cup insert hole 4 in the condition protruding to outside the case 2 and a coil spring to energize the holder halves 3A and 3B into the spread condition, wherein the holder halves 3A and 3B have shafts 3a and 3b as the center of spreading and an engaging member 6, and when they 3A and 3B are spread, the engaging member 6 is fitted in and engaged with a long hole 8 formed in the case 2 so that a stable spread condition is maintained.
