METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AN ELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR A VEHICLE AND CORRESPONDING CONTROLLER

In order to control an electronic system (1) for a vehicle (10), information is presented on a display (2). A user input to control the system (1) is detected according to the presented information. An abstraction level by means of which the information is presented on the display (2) is determined according to the user input. The abstraction level defines a scope of details by means of which the corresponding information is presented on the display (2) and a functionality corresponding to said details. The higher the abstraction level, the smaller the scope of the details. In addition to the information on the display (2), additional specifications (3, 4) that comprise further specifications about the information currently presented on the display (2) are presented on the display (2). A type of the additional specifications is determined according to the abstraction level of the information currently presented and/or according to a type of the information currently presented.
