PURPOSE: A method for transmitting pattern information of a low duty cycle to mobile terminals and a device thereof are provided to efficiently scan a femto-cell in the mobile terminals. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting/receiving device(308) receives a message changing low duty cycle(LDC) pattern information from a base station. The LDC pattern information relates to one or more valid LDC patterns. When the message changing the LDC pattern information is received, a processor(302) performs a network entry process with the base station. The transmitting/receiving device receives the LDC pattern information from the base station during the network entry process in real time.
