<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modulation/demodulation system capable of maintaining excellent error rate characteristics in accordance with a transmission status, without using any high-intensity encoding techniques. <P>SOLUTION: The modulation/demodulation system 50 includes a modulation apparatus 30 and a demodulation apparatus 40. The modulation apparatus 30 adds an identifier for identifying each of groups in grouping bit streams in such a way that bit streams having small hamming distances belong to different groups each other, to the bit stream to be modulated and modulates the bit stream. The demodulation apparatus 40 demodulates the bit stream to which the identifier has been added, and determines presence/no presence of a transmission error on the basis of the identifier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
