Liquid melamine containing ammonia is expanded, using a supply of gaseous NH3 in conditions of approximate vapour saturation, to a pressure that lies above that of the high-pressure section of the melamine manufacturing installation. This causes the melamine to solidify and the released NH3 is returned directly to the high-pressure section of the melamine manufacturing installation. |
