PURPOSE: A zone service providing method and a method thereof are provided to enable a terminal which is not able to obtain cell information to receive a zone service by obtaining cell information from a device for providing a location information service. CONSTITUTION: If a zone service is requested, a terminal(100) executes a zone service application. The terminal requests subscriber location information inquiry to a location information providing device(160). The terminal requests subscriber authentication to a subscriber authentication device(120). The terminal receives subscriber location information and information about a base station capable of a zone service. The terminal compares the subscriber location information with the base station information to confirm the capability of the zone service. If the zone service is available, the terminal performs a zone service mode.
