PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support that is easily assemblable and stably holds a body to be rotated at an adjusted angle while facilitating angle adjustment of the body to be rotated, and a lighting device using the support. SOLUTION: The support 10 has a bracket 11 mounted to a prescribed structure, and an almost columnar holder 21 locked to the bracket 11. The bracket 11 has a receiving-hole part 12 for storing the holder 21. The holder 21 has a first rib 22 erected on the outer peripheral curved face and an elastic part 24 that gives a degree of freedom in movement in an almost radial direction to the first rib 22. The first rib 22 is biased to the inner peripheral face of the receiving-hole part 12 by the elastic part 24. The holder 21 is rotatable and lockable with respect to the bracket 11 by utilizing a friction force occurring between the first rib 22 and the inner peripheral face of the receiving-hole part 12.
