PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of inclination, shaking, etc., when a spindle motor is attached to a base. SOLUTION: The disk driver is equipped with a turntable 22 which holds an optical disk 2, the spindle motor 23 which rotationally drives the turntable 22, an optical pickup 20 which writes and/or reads signals to/or from the optical disk 2, guide shafts 42a and 42b which support the optical pickup 20 slidably in the radial direction of the optical disk 2, and a base 15 which is mounted with the spindle motor 23 and both ends of the guide shafts 42a and 42b. The spindle motor 23 is attached to the base 15 by means of a spacer member 28 which positions the turntable 22 in its height direction in relation to the base 15. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
