The present invention relates to an apparatus for generation of playable media from structured data, the apparatus comprising: an authoring environment, for creating a video template, said video template comprising a decision tree; a spatially structured data reading unit (12) for reading in of content of said structured data, said content based on a data input form and following a structure of said form, said pages thereby included repeated structure, said content comprising a plurality of distinct media elements in a spatial display arrangement of said media elements, a spatial to linear transformation unit (16) configured to transform said distinct media elements from said spatial structure into a linear, structure, said transformation comprising choosing a path in the decision tree in the video template and incorporating media play instructions, wherein said transformation unit adds said media play instructions to said content and schedules behavior along a time line, thereby to form said linear structure from said distinct media elements and said media play instructions using said form structure to provide video media; and a rendering unit (18) for rendering content from said second, linear, structure using said media play instructions to generate playable video media from said content, characterized in that said transformation unit comprises a selector for selecting between a plurality of different play possibilities. |
