The tool (22) has a contact surface (30) comprising complementary ridges (32) and recesses (34) between a tool base body (26) and a tool cutting part (28). The ridges of the tool base body are engaged in the recesses of the cutting part. Inclined surfaces starting from the ridges run to the recesses, and the ridges and the recesses run parallel to each other. The cutting part is detachably connected with the base body by mounting screws (42). The base body is formed as a counter cutting tool and inserted into a counter cutting tool carrier of a comminution apparatus. An independent claim is also included for a comminution apparatus comprising a comminution roller.
