PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit protective structure with which various risks associated with the structure are avoided by arranging a liquid crystal protective panel with sufficient strength within a thickness range nearly identical to that in the case with no liquid crystal protective panel arranged therein, and a digital camera or picture related equipment equipped therewith. SOLUTION: In the display unit protective structure having a display unit 30 to display a picture and a plate shaped protective member 6 disposed on the front side of the display unit 30 and protecting a display surface of the display unit 30, the protective member 6 is directly fixed to the display unit 30.
